To make Slacker 2011, 24 of Austin's top filmmakers banded together using their own perspectives on the city to create a stream-of-consciousness chronicle of a day in Austin. Presenting the city-dwellers, dragworms, proto-hipsters and locations that give the city its modern identity, the film showcases a transformed town next to things that never change. SLACKER 2011 is an homage to twenty years of independent filmmaking, presenting the city’s changing face and showcasing some of its most exciting talent.
To introduce the movie, Producer Bryan Poysner is travelling to Llano and will join us at the Lantex Theater for our Pre-Movie Party. With Bryan will be his Fiancé, Kim Le Blanc, who works for the Texas Film Commission.
This looks like a really neat, entertaining movie with lots of local interest. I hope you can join us and show Bryan & Kim how much we support Texas made movies and how much we appreciate him bringing Kim to see our town and our theater. |
